Groundup ConneXion Legal Talk Series: Legal Registration
TIME & LOCATION
ABOUT THE EVENT
If you're reading this, you probably know that the world of legal entity registration is a complex and technical one. And usually there's a bigger question behind it, one of sustainability and which entity to register as in order to carry on the good work that you're doing. If you're standing at the crossroads, undecided about which path to take next, or even if you have already legally registered but thinking of switching your entity type, this session is dedicated to you!
Those sharing their experiences with us on the path to legal registration include:
- A lawyer invited by Law Society Pro Bono (details to be announced!)
- Li Woon Churdboonchart, Co-founder of The Volunteer Switchboard (Social enterprise)
- Ronald Low, Socialpreneur of Istoria (Co-operative)
- Cho Ming Xiu, Co-founder of Campus PSY (Non-profit organisation)
- Pui Cuifen, Co-founder of Foodscape Collective (Hmm, why stick to just one entity?)
- Fion Phua, Founder of Keeping Hope Alive (Or... how about not registering?)
It's really rare to have such a diverse range of opinions come together at the same time, and we hope it'll make the collective learning much more insightful! Of course, we believe that beyond these invited perspectives, each and every one of you will have your own experiences to share as well. So forget the slides and the formal presentations (except for maybe the technical aspects of the law), and let's come together for an evening of informal sharing and learning from one another :)
This event is brought to you in collaboration with Law Society Pro Bono Services, whom we're incredibly grateful to be working with on matters of the law for groundups.
